1. Introduction
Client Connect ("Client Connect," "we," "us," or "our") is a social media API platform operated by Client Path, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit client.fo, create an account, or use our services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Services.
2. Who we are
Client Connect is a product of Client Path, LLC, the data controller responsible for your information under this Policy. For any privacy-related questions or requests, you can reach us at hello@client.fo. Where required by law, we may designate a representative or data protection contact; those details will be published here.
3. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and information we receive from connected third-party platforms:
- Account information — name, business name, email address, and credentials you provide when registering.
- Connection data — access tokens, account identifiers, and configuration you authorize when linking a social media channel or tool.
- Usage data — log data, device and browser information, IP address, and interactions with the Services.
- Communications — messages you send us, including support requests and correspondence.
4. Social media platform data
When you connect an account, you authorize Client Connect to access data through that platform's official API on your behalf. Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include profile and account details, Page or business-account metadata, messages, comments, posts, media, and analytics associated with the connected account. We access and process this data solely to provide the routing and automation features you configure — never to build advertising or marketing profiles, and never to sell it. You can revoke access at any time from within Client Connect, from your account settings, or through each platform's own permission controls described below.
In addition to this Policy, our access to and use of data from each platform complies with that platform's developer terms and policies:
Meta Platforms — Facebook & Instagram
Client Connect uses Facebook Login, the Facebook Graph API, and the Instagram Graph API to access the Pages, professional Instagram accounts, messages, and content you authorize. Our access, storage, and use of this data adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and the Meta Developer Policies. You can review or remove Client Connect's access at any time under Settings & privacy → Business integrations (Facebook) or Apps and websites (Instagram), and you may request deletion of the data we hold as described in Section 7.
Google & YouTube
Client Connect uses Google APIs — such as the Google Business Profile API and the YouTube Data API — to access the accounts you connect. Client Connect's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where Client Connect uses YouTube API Services, your use of those features is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Client Connect's access to your Google and YouTube data at any time through the Google security settings page.
TikTok
Client Connect uses the TikTok API to access the content, engagement, and analytics you authorize. Our use of TikTok data complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and TikTok's related developer and data policies. You can disconnect Client Connect from your TikTok account at any time under Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Manage app permissions.
LinkedIn
Client Connect uses the LinkedIn APIs to access the member profile, organization Pages, and content you authorize, in accordance with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. You can manage or remove Client Connect's access from your LinkedIn account under Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services.
WhatsApp Business
If you connect WhatsApp through the WhatsApp Business Platform, that access is provided by Meta and is subject to the Meta Platform Terms and the applicable WhatsApp Business terms. We process message content and metadata only to deliver the messaging and automation features you enable, and we do not use the contents of your messages for any other purpose.
5. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including routing data between connected channels and tools.
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
- Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and improve the Services.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services: with service providers and subprocessors who support our infrastructure; with the third-party platforms and tools you connect, as directed by your configuration; and where required by law or to protect our rights, safety, and property.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it. Access tokens are removed when you disconnect a channel or close your account.
8. Data security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure token storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@client.fo. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality. Where required, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
11. Third-party platforms
The Services integrate with third-party platforms and tools that operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any platform you connect through Client Connect, and to manage the permissions you grant:
12. International data transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you reside. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, consistent with applicable law.
13. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
